A charming little matchbox cover mounted with a miniature chamberstick to act as a Go-To-Bed, using a match or tiny taper.
This novelty box stands on four original ball feet, the silver box cover and chamberstick both have matching hallmarks for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the year 1902. The makers mark is also present for the well renowned silversmith, Adie and Lovekin Ltd.
Due to it's unusual shape the matchbox within has been tailored to fit which will be supplied with the cover, however for safety reasons the matches will have to be removed for delivery and you can refill the box on it's arrival.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 1/4" x 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" tall to top of chamberstick.
