A magnificent and scarce Victorian silver plated inkwell in the form of a Rooster or Cockerel dating to the Victorian era, around 1880. Beautifully excecuted with excellent detail, he retains his two original glass eyes and red Comb made from felt.
The hinged lid opens to reveal the removal ceramic ink chamber.
A superb addition to the finest collection in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. The foot print measuring 6 1/4" x 4" and spanning 7 1/4" x 4" and standing 7" tall.
