A very fine late nineteenth century biscuit box made from silver plate with an integral underplate and standing on four original ball feet. The box is beautifully engraved with a plethora of Ferns, very Victorian and very English.
The front of the box has a little knob to the front to lift the lid. The underside is fully marked by the very famous English silversmith's, Mappin and Webb. Dating to around 1890, it remains in excellent condition.
