A delight and very pretty little oval jewellery or trinket box standing on four elegant cabriole legs. The hinged lis has a raised border which frames the engraved lid depicting a basket brimming with floral garlands tied with a ribbon and bow at the top.
The lid fits well and once opened reveals a lavishly gilded interior and is lucky enough to retain it's original pale blue velvet.
The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1923 together with the makers initials for the silversmith, Spurrier and Co.
Excellent condition, measuring 2 3/4" x 2" x 1 1/2" tall.
