A fabulous quality centerpiece, made by a top-notch silversmith, James Dixon and Sons in around 1880. The figural stand is made from silver plate, beautifully executed with Lions head legs terminated with Lion's paw feet, the sides having integral mythical faces.

The original Victorian yellow glass with a white opaline decoration is weighted with the torch flame finial.

Fully marked on the underside of the feet; a showy piece in superb condition.

The footprint measures 7" in diameter, the dish also measuring 7" in diameter; standing 5 1/4" tall.
