A superb example of a George III tea caddy made from Mahogany trimmmed with boxwood stringing. The front and top are both inlaid with a grand sized shell inlay into a Harewood background.
The lid opens to reveal a double compartment interior, the lid re-lined in a fresh Italian hand-marbled paper.
The box dates to c.1800 in excellent condition and complete with a working lock and key. 7 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" tall.
