A wonderful Desert serving set consisting of two serving spoons and a fabulous sugar sifting spoon.
Made from English sterling silver the bowls retain their lavish gilding, and intricate engraved decoration. The terminals to all three pieces retain a highly decorative monogram, looks to read C A.
The two spoons are both hallmarked for London 1782 with the makers initials for Charles Hougham; the central sugar sifting spoon is hallmarked for London 1797 by his brother, Soloman Hougham.
The set sites in a wonderful silk and velvet lined presentation box which measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/4". Each spoon measures 7 1/2" in length and the sifter spoon, 5 1/4" in length.
