A fabulous Victorian photo frame made from cast solid English sterling silver (rather than the normal embossed type of freame). The pierced or reticulated frame has a wonderful floral and foliate design, the two bottom corners incorporate musical Cherubs or Putti figures, one with a horn and one with a lyre.
The side of the frame is where the full English hallmark can be found for London 1887 together with the highly desirable Queen Victoria's head duty mark.
Excellent condition measuring 5 1/4" x 3 7/8" with a glazed aperture measuring 3 5/8" x 2 1/2".
