A magnificent example of a pretty shaped jewellery box standing on four tall elegant cabriole legs.
The box is inset with a stunning period piece of Tortoise Shelll with it's beautiful markings with colourings ranging from golden Champagne to rich chocolate brown, all showcased with a good bright and glossy patina. The shell is beautifully inlaid with an intricate and highly decorative pique inlay.
The lid fits perfectly and once opened reveals a stunning red silk lining. The silver is fully hallmarked for London 1913.
