The box when opened reveals a splendid two compartment box each with a pierced grill that clips closed and slide through the centre and sit upright when fully opened, creating a double dish or server.
This top quality example is lucky enough to have a desirable English design registration diamond shaped lozenge which enable us to date it to 23rd March 1880.
Excellent condition, the footprint measuring 8 1/4" x 6" and standing 8 1/2" tall to top of handle.
