A stunning, unusual and highly decorative biscuit box dating to around 1880, Victorian in era. The silverplate is beautifully detailed with a pierced or reticulated body with a cast garland wrapping around the side and atop the lid surrounding the substantial decorative finial.
The interior is lucky enough to have a Bristol blue glass liner which in the right light shows beautifully through the pieced or reticulated body. Having this glass liner, makes this one perfect to be used as an Ice bucket.
Dating to around 1880, this stunning piece remains in excellent condition 8" tall to top of finial 8 1/2" across, handle to handle.
