About as pretty as they come, this Satinwood cabinet sits on a Mahogany base with four bracket feet. Each side retains it's original patinated brass carrying handles.
The top and front have large cherub or putti figure themed panels framed in a gilded border. The top and front are beautifully inlaid with parquetry work created from exotic timbers. The cabinet is covered in hand painted floral garlands.
The box comes complete with a working key which once used to unlock the front doors reveals a sensational interior, preserved for the last 200 years, the intricate and fine quality is an absolute joy.
The interior of the drawers remain untouched, retaining their original pale pink paper lining, very typical of the Regency period, dating to around 1820. A real stunner in excellent condition. While closed, the cabinet measures 12 1/2" x 6" x 10 1/2" tall.
