A wonderful quality pot-pourri box made from English sterling silver by the well renowned London silversmith, William Comyns. The base of the box has an embossed or repousse Art Nouveau inspired garland running around it's circumference. The cast top is of course pierced or reticulated with a floral, foliate and scroll decoration. the lid fits well.
Both top and base are clearly hallmarked for London 1909, Edwardian in era. Excellent condition, the lid measuring 3 1/4" x 2 7/8".
