One of the finest quality hunting flasks I have come across for quite some time. In superb condition, the glass flask has a star-cut underside and an English sterling silver collar and top. The lid is a bayonet type fitting requiring a twist and lift action. The silver is fully hallmarked for London 1881 together with the highly sought-after Queen Victoria's head duty mark and the makers mark G A into two conjoined circles for the silversmith, George Aldwinckle.
The leather case is also in fine condition, although care should be taken in handling any leather case of this age. A superb example in excellent condition. The flask measures 9 1/2" tall x 2 1/4" in diameter.
