A very handsome and substantial Equestrian themed inkwell made from English polished brass.
The back is cast in the form of a horseshoe with three pairs of posts to set three dip pens.
The Jockey cap rests on two crossed riding crops, the lid is hinged and opens to reveal a removable glass ink chamber for easy refilling and cleaning.
Let Victorian in era, dating to around 1890, it remains in excellent condition. 5" max x 5 1/4" max x 5 1/4" tall.
