A fabulous and rarely found example of a string or twine box made from English Sterling silver with a full hallmark for London 1906, Edwardian in era. There is a makers mark, it looks to be T E & Co. Ltd., which I am unfamiliar with.
The pierced or reticulated spherical box sits on a footed base. The lid fits perfectly and is hinged, opening to refill.
A superb piece in excellent condition; the diameter measures 3 1/4" and stands 4" tall.
