This wonderful early nineteenth century tea caddy was made to emulate the larger decanter boxes made in a similar shape and manor during this period.
Made from Mahogany, the box is beautifully decorated with a stunning inlaid motif to the front and Boxwood stringing. The rounded front have two tiny brass knobs to lift the lid just as one would with the decanter box.
A rare and highly sought-after gem, in excellent condition, measuring 5 1/4" wide x 3 3/4" deep x 5" tall.
