Antique English Polished Bronze Inkwell - Cauldron, Crossed Pens & Wedgwood Plaque c.1860
A really unusual inkwell in beautifully polished bronze, having been professionally re-polished to gleam, by my silversmith.
The inkwell is actually in the form of a Cauldron supported by three crossed dip pens appearing like a campfire. Underneath in the centre of the base, is a set classical Wedgwood or Jasperware plaque.
The inkwell contains a removable glass liner, for easy refilling and cleaning.
A handsome and most unusual piece with a base diameter measuring 6 1/2" x 7" tall. A few minuscule dints, insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy. Excellent condition.
