Pristine Antique English Silver Plated Breakfast Serving Set c.1900
A stunning and most unusual breakfast serving set in pristine unused condition, the condiment even coming with it's original tissue paper to protect it's top surface, so clearly never used. The underside is signed by the silversmith or retailer, E.J. Fairbairns, Wormwood St. EC.
The set consists of a three piece condiment set plus a salt spoon and a mustard spoon in the mustard pot, six tea or egg spoons, two toast racks or holder, jam spoon, butter knife and sugar tongs. These smaller pieces made by the silversmith, George Shadford Lee & Henry Wigfull.
The set comes complete in it's original silk and velvet lined presentation box, again in superb condition. When you look at the base of the pepper pot it looks as if it is damaged, it is not ... there is a burst air bubble from manufacture.
The box itself measures 17" x 8" x 5" tall. The condiment set measures 5" including handle x 3 1/4" wide; the toast racks measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 5" tall.
