The screw-top lids are made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1896, making these true Victorian examples. The makers mark is also present CM for the silversmith, Charles May. The top of the lid has a vacant circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize it.
