A beautiful example of a sterling silver jewellery or trinket box, a good size and substantial weight.
The box stands on three elegant cabriole legs, the lid and base both have hallmarks (rubbed in parts) for London 1901, a late Victorian or early Edwardian example.
The top is crowned The five Reynold's Angels scene, crisp and clear. The lid fits well and when opened reveals a lavishly gilded interior. The box retains the original bright Burgundy red coloured silk, still in superb condition.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 1/8" in diameter x 2" tall.
