A stunning large sterling silver box with a plethora of repousse decoration and an attractive domed lid with a central circular vacant cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wanted to personalize it.
The interior is beautifully gilded providing a lovely clean finish. The silver is fully hallmarked on the side for Birmingham 1897, making this a true Victorian example. The makers initials C.C are also present for the silversmith, Colen Hewer Cheshire.
A heavy piece weighing 2.24 troy ounces or 69.6 grams. Excellent condition, measuring 2 5/8" in diameter x 1 1/2" tall.
