For your consideration is this stunning RARE 1967 Joel Philip Myers Hand Blown Glass Applied Spout Decanter with Air Twist Stopper for Blenko Model #6715. This is an extremely rare mid-century glass treasure and will become your most cherished piece of your collection. This design was created by Joel Myers for Blenko in 1967, the decanter design model number 6715. It was made in 1967 and discontinued before year's end. The turquoise also known as Blenko Blue colored spout and air-twist ground glass stopper is truly stunning. Research has indicated "This piece was only produced and in catalogs for one year 1967 (presumably due to the applied spout's complexity as a simplified version without the spout was produced in 1968 as model number 6842)." This huge decanter measures 15" tall, 6" wide and 20" around and weighs a respectable 4 lbs and 7 ounces. The stopper has air bubbles twisted among the Blenko Blue and clear thick solid glass. The applied spout has lovely lines and screams Mid-Century Modern Hollywood Regency. The decanter and top are in excellent condition, there is a sliver chip on the spout tip (see photograph), due to the extreme rarity of this piece, it is still remains highly sought after even with the flaw and displays beautifully. This limited edition run piece is a master piece and ready to be cherished now and for years to come. This will become center stage on your shelf. Enjoy!
