Rich royal purple amethyst round butter dish Croesus pattern with gold scroll and shell accents by Riverside. This footed butter dish has scalloped edges and a diamond and shell pattern. Produced for a short time, only five years, from 1987 until 1901. The lid has a crown style handle with gold gilt accent and matching diamond and shell gold accent pattern. The royal purple glass is a rich evenly colored deep amethyst. There are a few nicks & chips as expected due to age on the bottom plate scallops as photographed. Measures 5" high to the top of the lid handle. The footed under plate measures 7 3/4" across. The gold gilt is in good condition with some loss on the edges of the scalloped lower plate and the handle.
