Pastel on paper, 19" by 25" (28" by 33" as framed), signed at bottom right by the noted American artist ELIOT CLARK (1883-1980). Images of the work have been examined by the recognized authority on Clark and he will be providing me with a letter attesting to the authenticity of the piece; this letter will go with the drawing. Clark was an artist who lived an extraordinarily long life; he was taught by John Twachtman, yet lived to see man walk on the moon. He was widely traveled, especially in the US, where he came to be known as one of the few artists executing pastel drawings in the southern states. Many museums held exhibitions of his work and include the works in their collections. See askart for much more on the artist. This work is in clean condition with only minimal contact with the glass. An inexpensive wood modern frame is available with the drawing at no extra cost. .
