A late 20th century intricate painting of the Indo-Persian, Mughal School, sometimes referred to as Indian Persian, measuring 10" by 6" including margins (12" by 8" in the ornately patterned style of frame that often accompanies such works). The painting is in excellent condition, though old water intrusion at upper and lower left has left dampstains. A mat with curving, oval shape would hide this. Frame is delaminating at left edge and extreme top left corner shows some loss. Frame has support structure on reverse so that this can be displayed on a tabletop. The detail of these sorts of paintings is impressive. An amazing amount of hand workmanship is required to make them.
