A nicely painted old oil work on a cut-down canvasboard, 7" by 5", (12" by 10" framed), unsigned, the subject the familiar, often painted Brulatour Courtyard in the French Quarter. The work seems to have been recently cleaned and varnished. It's a little gem, but unfortunately without a signature we cannot tie it to any particular artist. The age, most likely is circa 1935 to about 1955. There is an old framer's label from Rockford, Illinois on the back. Frame color is not complementary; could be shipped unframed upon request.
