A late 19th century oil on canvas painting of one of the great volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest, probably Mount Hood, 20" by 28" (25" by 32" as framed), signed at right center "L Currier". This appears to be a student perhaps of the well-known master of the "Volcano School", Eliza Barchus. The painting's colors and the composition are typical of her works. This example has some scrapes and paint losses which will need to be inpainted.
