Artistic printed photographic image of the famous, historic church commonly known as Las Trampas, in Truchas, New Mexico near Chimayo, on the high road (NM state highway 76) between Taos and Santa Fe, signed at lower right margin "D. Treut" and dated "88" at lower left margin. The photo was artistically created and printed by the photographer, with a grainy image and rose tint. The image almost vibrates, in the manner of an image seen through 3D glasses. The photographer has chosen a dramatic and artistic angle, featuring the much less commonly seen side view of the church. Technically known as San Jose de Gracia, the church was constructed between 1760 and 1776. Today it is a treasured symbol of historic Spanish Colonial New Mexico, and is considered one of the best preserved churches of the period in the state. Its twin towers topped with wood cupolas and crosses are very distinctive features by which it can be identified. Measurements are 7" by 5 1/8" inside the dark green mat and 14" by 11 1/4" in the silvery metal framing. Mat and photo are very clean. I do not see information on the photographer.
