Original 1977 Marc Chagall (1887-1985) color lithograph "The Village", (Mourlot 917), executed for the "Le Chemin de L'Amitie" issue of Derriere Le Miroir (No. 225), 1977, in an unsigned edition of 15,000. This example came to be signed later by Chagall in pencil at lower right ("complimentary signature"), perhaps at a special gallery or printer event. The sheet measures 14 1/2" by 21", with a simple blue frame (no mat). There are condition issues. Evidently this became wet at one time, and the top to bottom sizable brownish water stain is obvious (as seen in the photos). There is rumpling in much of the left portion, again no doubt due to the moisture history. There is a center fold, likely as issued. The print is not laid down. Allow for reflections in a few photos.
