MYRON CLARK (1858-1925) impressionist watercolor painting of lake and forest at sunsetC. MYRON CLARK (1858-1925) impressionist watercolor painting of lake and forest at sunset

A turn of the century watercolor painting of a forest at the edge of a lake at sunset, 10" by 14" (14" by 18" in recent quality framing) signed at lower left by Massachusetts artist C. MYRON CLARK (1858-1925). The impressionist scene is peaceful and sensitively painted. Clark was born in New York but is most closely associated with Massachusetts. He painted landscapes and also marines with clipper ships, in oil and watercolor. Works are held by the Peabody Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. All photos taken through non-glare style glass, which dulls detail; would recommend replacing it.
