Rare, large folio size (16 1/2" by 20 3/4" inside the existing mat) hand-colored original 19th century lithograph print "Lake Winnipiseogee from Centre Harbor, N.H.". This is a fine and desirable image, examples of which have appeared at auction in New England. Lake Winnipesaukee is the large lake with islands that occupies a portion of central New Hampshire, south of the White Mountains. Today, as it was in the nineteenth century, it is a popular recreation and tourism area. This print has beautiful, rich hand coloring. There is water staining throughout the bottom margin area, and a tornado-shaped, conical water stain at center which extends from top edge down to the lake surface. See photos. Paper restorers are able to minimize or remove such stains. I have not examined this out of the frame but would be happy to do so. Size as framed 24" by 27 1/2". Fresh to the market---found in a small town in northern Idaho, of all places. There are reflections in some images.
