Late 19th century antique American primitive oil on canvas landscape in the Hudson River style, 16" by 24" (21" by 28 1/2" in pretty old original gold frame), unsigned. The work features a lake, mountain, trees, structures, figures, and tiny boats---everything you could want in one of these comforting old scenes. Condition is generally good---better than average for the type---with just a few scratched areas of missing paint, and some light crazing. The frame alone is worth the price of admission. The painting was found in Medford, Oregon. It likely found its way to Oregon from the east coast, possibly back in the nineteenth century.
