Ink drawing "Wooded Road", measuring 11" by 16", unframed, circa 1930's or 1940's, signed at lower right by listed American artist ISOLDE THERESE GILBERT (1907-1986). There are two labels, discovered when the piece was opened up (frame is low quality and worn). One red-bordered label gives the artist name, work's title, and size; another, of The City Library Association, Springfield (MA) Museum of Fine Arts, again provides title/artist name. Gilbert was born in New York City and died in Danbury, Connecticut. There is little biographical information, but it appears that she was active in Massachusetts and Maine. The drawing is in excellent condition. Black old frame has significant wear and may or may not be available with the drawing.
