A nicely painted oil on canvas of lilac branches in a white vase on a table top, 27" by 30" (31" by 33 1/2" framed), signed rather illegibly at lower right corner "Van Sussly" or "Vera Guzzly" or something similar. The flowers seem to be lilac, and the painting was found in the northeast. The painting, found in Maine, probably dates to about the late 1940's, judging from the canvas and stretcher (frame is late 20th century). A cleaning would be highly beneficial, as there are decades of soiling and no remaining varnish. Stripping off that soiling would transform the painting, but you would not have to do this immediately to enjoy the art. There is an abraded area near upper right edge and a few other abrasions below that, also at right edge, and a small horizontal tear about 3/4" long below the green pot at left. The dark wood frame is in generally good condition, with very light wear. More research could help to determine the identity of this talented artist.
