Pastel drawing of a young girl seated in a chair, signed at lower right by American 20th century artist from Long Island, New York, Muriel Kahn, and dated 1967. The sheet measures 12" by 8 3/4". An inexpensive modern frame that would fit this is available at no extra charge, but the drawing will be sent between boards/paper. The signature resembling that of important American artist Wolf Kahn, and the medium being the medium for which he is best known, I looked into whether this might be by him. But a chance encounter with another work by her, in Massachusetts, proved it not by Wolf Kahn. The Massachusetts work, titled "Pensive Woman", had an inscription with artist name, location, and same 1967 date. This is an interesting study of a possibly restless little girl, executed competently. Paper has browned.
