PAIR of pochoir (airbrush over stencil) prints, one titled "IRIS I", the other "IRIS II", the first numbered 123/250 and measuring 28 1/2" by 20" (36" by 27" framed), the other numbered 161/250 and measuring 30 3/4" by 22 1/2 in thin wood frame (no mat), both signed in pencil and dated at lower right 1980. These are works by the popular California-born Photo-Realist artist BRIAN DAVIS (1946-). Davis grew up in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and has lived in Reno, Nevada. In the early 1980's he achieved commercial success with his oversized realistic images of various flowers. Southern California museums have exhibited his works. These examples are in excellent clean condition; I note a miniscule tiny, tiny white spot at lower portion of the larger work, this appearing to be a paper loss, but it is indeed very very small. Allow for reflections and shadows cast by slight surface scratches or foreign matter on glass. I would like to sell these as a pair, (they would ideally be identically framed), though would consider separating them.
