This is a 40" by 30" work, unframed, consisting of gouache on board, with collage: the artist has cut shaped pieces of paper, some with printed images, and pasted them down on top of the board, and then painted over them. This unusual technique is present throughout the work---head, hands, indeed, the entire figure....as well as elsewhere. One piece, a vertical strip of about 7 inches, has become detached, and I will include this in an envelope. Eudey was active in Richmond in the San Francisco Bay area in 1940, and was in Redlands in Southern California by 1950. She died in nearby San Bernardino in 2006 well into her 90's. She exhibited with the California Watercolor Society from 1951 through 1955.
