Watercolor on paper of a small white painted house in a sparse landscape, the sheet measuring 15" by 22", signed at lower right with "N.W.S." (National Watercolor Society) by the listed California watercolor artist ROBERT UECKER (1929-2005). Uecker was born in Los Angeles and won a five year scholarship to the Chouinard Art Institute, where he was instructed by the likes of Rex Brandt, Ed Reep, and Pruett Carter. Later in life he became a teacher himself, as well as owner of art supply stores in the Pasadena area. This work likely dates to the 1980's I would guess. The present matting is stained and old. It should be discarded, and the painting can be inexpensively shipped either rolled or flat.
