A hand embroidered landscape of "Fox Hill Farm", in the tradition of Grandma Moses and numerous other artists of the second half of the twentieth century who worked in her popular naive style, but actually after a Charles Wysocki original painting, signed at lower right with initials "TJO" and dated 1986. The piece measures 13 1/2" by 18" (19" by 23" framed). Although there is much time-consuming crewel embroidery hand work in this---the placing of the wool yarn and cotton thread---this is from a series of kits that were available in the mid 1980's. Note the details---American flag, horses and buggies, house windows, trees, figures........the work is in excellent condition.
