**(See a number of other pencil signed prints by the artist in my shop)**Photolithograph prints published by Frost and Reed, 1929, from the original paintings by Sir Alfred Munnings, 17 1/4" by 21 1/2" and 18" by 25 1/2" inside the mat (27 1/2 by 31", and 27 1/2" by 33", as identically framed), BOTH PENCIL SIGNED at lower right margin by the highly important sporting art master, and quite famous English painter of all equestrian subjects, SIR ALFRED MUNNINGS (1878-1959). The subjects are fox hunters in a landscape, surrounded by their hounds. One is titled "The Bramham Moor Hounds at Weeton Whin". These prints were issued in England by the firm Frost and Reed, Ltd., in 1927 and 1929, making them some of the earlier prints produced in the roughly 30 years that Munnings produced prints in association with the firm. These examples have either been exposed to sunlight, or, the colors have chemically changed to what is now a monochromatic green and yellow; this seems to be commonly seen with the artist's prints. Pencil signed examples are highly sought after, as original drawings and paintings by Munnings are very expensive indeed, some paintings having reached into the millions of dollars. See the net for much more information on this highly regarded impressionist painter of horses and the people who interacted with them in England between the wars. As these are behind non-glare glass, the detail is somewhat dulled in the photos. As that dated type of glass actually hinders viewing, and is unusually heavy and likely to shatter in shipping, I suggest discarding it.
