Oil on canvas river scene with fishermen, 12" by 24" (18" by 30" as framed---I've misplaced frame but it's here somewhere), signed at lower left in red "Boddington" (EDWIN H. BODDINGTON JR, 1836-1905). This is a typical subject of this nineteenth century British artist, who is listed in most dictionaries of English painters of the Victorian era. The painting has condition issues: some losses, an overpainted area at top left which appears to be of a somewhat different color and texture, and some blistering paint in the sky. The frame has corner cracks. This oil needs some attention but it's essentially all there. Email me for more photos of the condition issues, as I am allowed only nine images on Ruby Lane listings.
