Four engraving prints on laid paper, mounted together, each tightly trimmed tightly to round (tondo) shape, from "The Story of Jonah" series, circa 1570. The prints are glued to their backing. Diameter of each 5 1/4", the entire piece as framed 9 3/4" by 30 1/2". The publisher was Hans van Luyck (act. 1563 to approximately the mid 1580's). A rare set. Just two of the four, untrimmed, brought approximately $1700 at a Christie's auction in 2011. In wood strip mid century frame with clean beige linen liner around the circular openings.
