Ink drawing with some pencil outlining visible, subject an idyllic northern lake bordered by tall spruce or pines, a ti-pi with Indian at center left, a canoe plying the waters at center distance, signed at lower left "Leb-Wendell", 7" by 9 3/4", 12 1/2" by 15" as framed. At first I though this an etching but close up inspection reveals it to be actually an ink drawing with fine detail. One can see the pencil outlining and guide lines placed by the artist. I do not see a listing for this name (have also tried variations like "Leh-Wendell". On the reverse is an affixed slip of paper on which is written in ink "A mere trifle but given with a willing heart". The drawing seems to date to the earlier years of the 20th century. An interesting addition to your lakeside vacation home or Adirondack style cabin interior. Condition is excellent.
