Lithograph on paper, the title "Nuit Blanche" ("White Night"), 17 1/4" by 12" inside the innermost of two mats (20 1/2" by 15 3/4" as framed), signed in pencil within the image at lower right by the well-known Belgian-born modern artist PIERRE ALECHINSKY (1927-), and numbered at lower left 222/300. This a modern image was published in 1969. The artist is a major figure in late 20th century art's CoBrA movement, counted as one of the founders of it in 1949. The oil paintings sell for significant amounts of money at major sales by Sotheby's, Christie's and elsewhere. Alechinsky was in France by 1951 and has spent most of his life there. He studied with Stanley Hayter in 1951. The print was laid down on board long ago. It is very clean and fresh, in metal frame, but there is presently no glass.
