Oil on canvasboard, 24" by 30", circa 1960's painting of what I believe to be the historic landmark Spanish-style Paseo shopping district in Kansas City, Missouri, signed by artist Helen Weiss. The painting is titled at lower left "Kansas City Plaza" and signed at lower right. The apparently unknown artist had a definite talent, depicting the locale in a charming naive style that reminds of some of the French naive painters. The painting's frame (in which it was found) is available at no extra cost, but the painting was stuffed into it, as it is not nearly the right size, at 22" by 26", creating an unsatisfactory situation. The painting itself is lightly soiled consistent with age. If you are from the KC area, this might be a real conversation piece.
