Old watercolor paintings of familiar Venice, Italy scenes including gondolas, Bridge of Sighs and historic buildings lining the canal, and the famous Piazza San Marco, both signed "Marini--Venezia". The drawings measure 11 3/4" by 7 1/2" (21" by 15 1/2" framed). I guarantee these are original watercolors, and not prints, even though it might appear to some observers that they are prints, as the artist signed and titled them again in the lower margin, in pencil, as one would a print, and there is actually what appears to be a plate indentation in the paper, again as if they were prints. But they are not prints. Condition is good, with overall light oxidation of paper consistent with age, which I'd estimate as 1950. The frames are worn. The drawings were likely created for the tourist trade in Venice.
