This is an exceptionally fresh example of the 1969 print "Summer", approximately 18" by 24" (25" by 32" framed) by the famous modern artist ALEXANDER CALDER (1898-1969). The print is protected behind Plexiglas, in a black shiny laminated frame. On the reverse is a certificate of authenticity from the Collectors Guild of New York. My research indicates this print was issued in an edition between 1,000 and 4,000 examples, published by the Societe de Verification de La Nouvelle Gravure, Paris/New York, in conjunction with the Collectors Guild. It has retained its fresh, original primary colors and is in pristine condition. The work is most characteristic of Calder, with its primary colors and spiral features. Calder of course needs little introduction, as one of the more important modernists of the century. His mobiles bring millions at auctions, and gouaches reach well into five figures. A very attractive addition to your modern and contemporary home or office. The horizontal streak at lower left in the primary image is simply a reflection. The print itself is in excellent clean fresh unfaded condition.
