Watercolor on paper painting of a street scene in Bermuda, signed at lower left corner by American artist Jack Crowe, and dated there 1950. This is an impressionist view likely of Hamilton, the principal town. The work measures 10" by 13 3/4" (18" by 22" in what is essentially an inner frame, protective only---you should plan on reframing). Crowe does not appear to be a listed artist. A companion piece, of a covered bridge in New England, identically framed, was signed "JB Crowe", and fragments of a framer's label from White Plains, New York was adhering to the reverse side of that piece. So we can guess that he was from the Northeast and would have traveled to Bermuda at mid century. If sent without framing, shipping should be less. See other Bermuda works in my shop..
