Oil on canvas painting of rather ornate old buildings in a cityscape, " by ", unframed, signed at lower right, executed circa 1980. The tightly cropped scene shows evidence of an artistic hand, the buildings reminiscent of San Francisco's Victorian architecture, or even European architecture. There is a signature at lower right that I have been unable to decipher. I thought it possibly "Gehry" as in Frank Gehry the famous architect, but there is no evidence I see on the net that he dabbles in oil painting, nor does the signature resemble his. The painting has acquired numerous scuffs and minor abrasions, as well as a very small puncture at center right, from careless past handling, as shown. I have attempted to show many of them in the photos.
